Pole Classes

Icarus Pole Fitness offers a wide range of classes to suit everyone. Whether you want to build your strength, improve your technique, or boost your confidence, our skilled instructors will be able to help. Every class is tailored to our students and we strive to create a supportive environment for you to achieve your goals.

 

Our level division and requirements are unique to our studio, please review the descriptions below to ensure you are attending the appropriate classes. If you are unsure of which level is best for you, reach out to one of our team and we are happy to have a chat.

 

Note all our classes are R18 - please head to our Junior Pole page to explore classes for those aged 13-17.

Level 1

These classes are ideal if you are new to pole fitness or have recently completed our signature Beginner Block Course. This level teaches the fundamentals of pole dancing and enables you to develop strength, co-ordination, and confidence.

No requirements to attend this level. 

Level 2

These classes are for students comfortable with the beginner moves who are ready to progress to the next level. This level builds upon the fundamentals and teaches more challenging moves and transitions.

 

This level has a focus on learning foundational inverted moves so requires an understanding of basic inverts. 

Level 3

This class is designed for students who are ready to push themselves to the next level, learning the more tricky inverted and aerial moves.

 

This level requires students to have confident inside and outside leg hangs, and laybacks.

Level 4

This class is designed for students who are ready to unlock the advanced tricks, flips, drops and more! Advanced classes will help you achieve things you never thought possible.

 

This level requires a strong Ayesha and a confident Shoulder Mount to Brass Monkey.

Mixed Level

This class is for all levels. You decide which moves you want to focus on and your instructor will provide guidance and spot you as needed. Instructors can also provide options depending on what you’ve been working on lately and what ideas you bring to class.

All levels welcome unless it is your first class. You can also self-train in Mixed Level classes.

Pole Combos

Pole Combos links moves together to build transitions and unique combinations. Learn unique moves and master both static and spin sequences.

Pole Combos is currently only open to Level 3 and Level 4 students. 

Self Training

This class is for self-directed training, a supervisor will be present, however students are responsible for their own lesson plan. It is an excellent opportunity to refine your skills or prepare for performances.

Students need to be confident with the core Level 1 moves to safely attend self training.
